Individual and Sparring contest categories:

1: Special First timers: 

Special first timer to encourage first time new competitors. all first timer coopetitors receive a participation trophy. 

2: Shaolin Kungfu: 

1)  Hand Form: Any Shaolin traditional hand forms 

2)  Other Form: Any Shaolin perform style hand forms 

3)  Shaolin Short Weapons - Any Shaolin traditional short weapons 

4)  Shaolin Long Weapons - Any Shaolin traditional long weapons 

5)  Other Weapons - Including double weapons and soft weapons, etc. 

2: Wu Shu perform forms:
1) Wu Shu perform hand forms:- Any Wu Shu perform hand forms 

2) Wu Shu perform Weapons - Any Wu Shu perform Weapons. 

3:Shaolin Health Qi Gong Tai Chi Form

Any Shaolin Qi Gong or Tai Chi forms

4: Sanda Sparring:

Rules & Regulations:

In this contest, we will implement the National Unites shaolin Kung Fu Competitors must register based on their age the month of the competition. Divisions are subject to change and/or reassignment. All weapons are subject to inspection by Officials at any time.

Loss of control shall result in immediate disqualification. Level is determined by years of training and/or rank. Divisions may be split or combined in order to provide a fair, safe, and exciting competition.Participation methods

 

There is no limitation on the number of teams sent by a participating association. There is no limitation on the number of athletes. Competitors may enter as an individual or together with an association.

Each participating athlete may enter for multiple barehanded and weapon routines but may not compete twice in the same division. i.e. if one has already been scored for broadsword in the short weapons category they may not switch to straight sword in the same event.

 

Scoring of Open Hand Divisions:

 

Scoring should start from the top and deductions taken for mistakes. All scores count towards the final total unless there are 5 judges. With 5 judges the high & low scores are dropped. In the event of a tie, the low score is added back. If a tie still exists, the high score is added back. In the event that a tie still exists, all judges will be asked to point at the winner simultaneously and whoever receives the most judges will win. In the case of ties within intermediate and advanced divisions for 1st thru 3rd place competitors must perform an alternate routine.

9.SANDA Fighting Sett: Fighting set divisions are exclusively for practitioners to display armed and unarmed combat techniques following the movement and cultural principles within traditional Kung Fu.

 

Year of experience         

Special First timers- New Students 

Beginner: 0-1year     

Intermediate: 1-3 years        

Advanced: 3+ years   

            

Traditional Kung Fu weapons adhere to the same characteristic description as standard Wushu implements however they must be combat weight & not light weight, flexible Wushu style weapons. Although our competition allows for students to use Wushu implements in competition, practitioners who handle traditional Kung Fu weapons with skill and proficiency will be awarded an additional point 02 on their overall score. 

 

Specifications for Other Weapons

 All Other Weapons must be Chinese in origin. Chinese variations of kobudo weapons are permissible, ie. Er jie gun, miaodao, liandao, bian, however these must adhere to principles of traditional Chinese execution. Double Weapons are classified on using the same weapon in both hands, Double sword, Double Chain Whip, Double Daggers are examples. Soft Weapons are jointed or tethered weapons linked together by chain or rope. This includes Three-section staff, Chain Whip, Rope Dart, Bullwhip etc.

 

Arbitration Commission and judging panel

Arbitration Commission is made up by the National United shaolin Kung Fu and the senior masters. Judges are selected by the National United States Kung Fu Federation.
